    Essex groomed Wed night..

it was s a bit icy and fast, and the tracks are shallow, due to the hard shallow

Essex would be good Thursday morning just as it transitions above freezing (hills will be dicey before that). The skate lane was fast too, with just enough loose snow.

The woods trail north above the creek is bad already.

    Otherwise A skis

All trails may probably deteriorate with warm Temps and walkers.

Just checked out Eastwood. Unfortunately someone on a fatbike decided to bike most of the ski trail, leaving a deep rut in many parts of the skate desk (particularly on the east side of the park). Once this freezes, you need to be very careful skate skiing on the trail.

Wednesday 2/24:  Took the Quarry Hill ATV, roller, and a weighted track-setter to Eastwood and refreshed the classic track.  It was somewhat successful but not to the same degree as when it's done with the Gizuu groomer, knives, and powered track setter.

Tuesday 2/23: The Eastwood Golf Course skating deck was rolled and packed this morning.  Unfortunately the snowmobile broke down before refreshing the classic track.  The classic track will be refreshed early on Wednesday morning.

Quarry Hill trails were groomed Sunday night (2/21).  All trails were groomed and a track was set.  Enjoy the warm weather for skiing.  Hopefully the snow conditions won't deteriorate too much with the above freezing temps the next few days.

Wayne Sadecki Groomed great trails out at Essex Sunday afternoon.. Beautiful out during the light snow. He finished all the trails, and did most of the track. Running out of daylight prevented setting track on the western wooded areas.
It was skiing great at 5pm with snow still falling.

QH was groomed last night by Henry Walker. The trail continues to be in exceptional shape due to cold weather and very good snow conditions. The classic track was intact and in good condition so he left it as is. The Nature Center was hosting an evening out walk. Most generally stayed on the walking trail. Some fairly heavy foot traffic in the usual ski trail sections however tracks were easily renovated due to the cold snow base

I groomed Essex this afternoon.  Everything was groomed.  New classic track as well.  The track is decent in some places and shallow in others.  The trails look good, but the base is still thin and there are a few spots of dirty snow.

I'm planning on skiing my virtual Birkie at Essex Park on Sunday, 2/21.  Will any grooming take place between now and then?  If so, will this include the NW Hill loop trails?

Groomed Quarry Hill today to refresh skate deck and reset classic track. Trails in good condition.
