For Student Athletes:

Join the Rochester Mountain Bike Team (RMBT) and Discover Your True Potential!

At RMBT, we're not just a team – we're a family united by our love for mountain biking and our passion for personal growth. As part of the Rochester Active Sports Club and the Minnesota Cycling Association, we're dedicated to youth development through the exhilarating world of biking.

Unlock Lifelong Lessons

RMBT isn't just about biking; it's about building character. Through every trail conquered, we teach essential values like communication, respect, resilience, and stewardship. Our mission is simple: to instill a lifelong love for the sport and equip our participants with skills they'll carry far beyond the trails.

All Are Welcome

Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, RMBT is the place for you. We're not an elite training program reserved for the few; we're a welcoming community where everyone can thrive. You have the option to race in up to four season races, with the chance to qualify for the exhilarating season finale. And if you're here just to have fun and ride, that's perfectly fine too – no pressure, just passion.

Registration is now closed.

Registration for our 2024 season opened on May 13th and closed July 1st. Join us as we hit the trails together, forging friendships and unforgettable memories along the way. Practices run from 5:30 to 7:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, starting from the end of July until the middle of October.

For Coaches:

Join Us as a Volunteer Mountain Biking Coach!

Are you passionate about mountain biking? Whether you're a parent or just an adult who loves hitting the trails, we invite you to become a part of our coaching team. No matter your skill level, we welcome you with open arms. All you need is a bike suitable for dirt trails and a willingness to help. Our volunteer coaches are the backbone of our team. They prioritize the safety and well-being of our student-athletes above all else and serve as positive role models. Plus, they're always eager to learn and improve their coaching skills.

Who Can Coach?

From beginners to advanced riders, everyone is welcome. Our head coaches provide practice instructions tailored to both coaches and student-athletes, ensuring everyone can participate and grow together. Additionally, the Minnesota Cycling Association offers courses to further develop coaching skills and knowledge.

Time Commitment

Team practices run for an hour and a half, three days a week, starting from the end of July through mid-October. We understand that life gets busy, so whether you can commit full-time or just make it to one practice a week, your help is invaluable. We also have five race weekends on Saturdays and Sundays.

Get Involved!

We'd love for you to join our coaching team and help us inspire the next generation of mountain bikers. If you have any questions or want more information, please contact us at info@rochmtb.org.
