Chester Woods Lake Sprints - Thursday, February 8, 2018
As part of practice at Chester Woods park, the Rochester Nordic Ski team held a 2.1K freestyle sprint on a course laid out on Chester Woods Lake. The 83 skiers were pleasantly surprised to find no hills on the course! A nicely groomed course, 13 degree temps, and very little wind made for a very enjoyable ski race and practice.
Rochester Nordic Ski Invitational - Thursday, January 25, 2018
Eastwood Golf Course was the setting for the Rochester Nordic Ski Invite held on Thursday, January 25. A 10" snow fall three days before the meet revitalized the snow cover and provided good snow conditions though the course was a bit soft. The 151 skiers from Rochester, Red Wing, and Winona enjoyed mild temps around 30 degrees as they skated the 5.7K course on the golf course and woods trails.

Maplelag Time Trial and Sprint Relays - Saturday, January 6, 2018
Skiers waltzed around the Skaters Waltz trail on Saturday morning in cold temps just above 0 degrees. The 69 skiers warmed up as they worked the rolling hills of the trail. Skiers were happy to be skiing on natural snow.
Twenty four skiers were split into two teams for the sprint relays. Each team skied 6 laps (about 1K per lap) with skiers alternating on each lap. It was an exciting, fast-paced event.

Winona Team Sprint Relays - Saturday, December 16, 2017
26 RNST Skiers participated in a relay race at Winona on Saturday, December 16th. All of the RNST skiers participated in the Varsity race and faced some very tough competition. 2-person teams raced a total of 6 kilometers, where each skier raced 3x1km, tagging their partner after each kilometer lap. Winona had an excellent and challenging trail they created using snowmaking equipment. Other schools in the meet were Winona, Coon Rapids, Lake City and Red Wing.
